No one can afford to blink an eye when the fight started. Things happened so quickly and the next thing you see, Hatton dropped dead on the floor and unable to regain a strength to even get up. The Mighty British bands and Hatton’s crowd supporters were shocked and ceased chanting as the 5 minutes and 59 second fight had finally led to Hatton’s destruction. Fans and the Stadium crowd can’t get enough of the last Saturday’s bouts as the battle between the East and the West turned out to be terse that fall short of the one’s excitement. Manny did it again and thanks for following his coach’s game plan sketched for him to win his fight that night.

Tagged as the reigning Pound-For-pound Champion of the World, Manny’s fight is getting better and better as he unleashes his right hand strategically hurting Hatton on the first round. His left blow fist whacked the British fighter that ended up his chance to defeat Manny that night and the rest is history.

Manny now amassed a total of 4 major titles; the WBC world flyweight champion, IBF world super bantamweight champion, WBC world super featherweight champion, WBC world lightweight champion among other minor and awards.

About Pacquiao, his accomplishments and the latest fight vs Ricky Hatton:

According to some tabloids, Michael Jackson was once the subject of ridicule when he and his children walked around wearing a mask. Now, with Swine Flu sweeping Mexico and spreading sporadically in North America although it is now Level 4 in the WHO ( World Health Organization ) scale, you can call wearing a mask, casual . What’s next? Would it be thing of fashion? Why not make a designer mask or a stylish couture with mask ensemble just like a veil or a burqa? The mask hype is a good news to the mask makers/manufacturers and it is expected that orders from retailers could increase.

Does wearing a mask really works in avoiding the transmission or reception of the H1N1 influenza aka “Swine Flu or Mexican Flu? No matter how it is named , it is deadly. Thus, you can tell your kids to memorize this Rhyme as popularized by the American Skipping Rhyme circa 1918 saying.

” Obey the laws, and wear the gauze. Protect your jaws from septic paws “.

On Monday, President Obama used the scientific name, H1N1 in his remarks before the National Academy of Sciences to shy away with the name “swine” which could impact the pork meat industry as well as respecting the religious belief of some regions that do not eat pork. In my opinion, I don’t think it would be fair to call it Swine Flu in general as no one had been reportedly contracted this virus by eating pork nor pigs had been positively tested to contain this virus.

This is also to convey the message that American pork is safe and the pork eating public has nothing to fret about thereby avoiding the ricochet on farmers and hardworking families whose livelihood depends on the hog and livestock industry.

Medical experts suggests that masks can not always protect one against the virus. The best way to shield yourself against it is by constant hand washing. Bacteria and viruses can be anywhere and in anything we touch from doorknobs to keyboards. Using hand sanitizer is no substitute for hand washing with soap and water. Hand sanitizer can only be used when there is nothing else to use. Avoid using a bar soap as it can be contaminated when water sips in. If possible use a gentle liquid anti bacterial hand soap.

More information about H1N1.

Did you know?

There was history of similar virulent influenza, the 1918 flu pandemic (aka Spanish flu) which is a virus strain of subtype H1N1 that caused 1 Billion deaths worldwide. Read more>>>

According to World Wildlife Fund (WWF) it was 650 cities that switched off its lights for Earth Hour totaling to a more than 15 million Filipinos. Gregg Yan told the news that the Philippines was the number one in town and city participation out of the 88 countries among 25 different time zones. Philippines broke the record against the Earth hour forerunner Australia (total of 309 towns and cities) as it placed Third and with Greece (484 participating towns and cities) being the second. This success can be attributed to the Pinoys being fund of social networking sites such as Facebook , Multiply, Friendster among others. Where ever you go people invite friends, send notes, blogs, bulletins and messages across these networking sites and it’s viral. Of course Pinoys being competitive in nature, will do their best to get the world record. How much energy did the Philippines saved? According to initial reports, Yan said that the Philippines alone saved 611 Megawatt-hours, being 386 Megawatt-hours in Luzon, 150 Megawatt-hours in Mindanao and 75 Megawatt-hours in Visayas. To read more on this article, you can visit wwf site. Hopefully the campaign should not end here and pinoys and people all over the world will continue to tunr off their switch only when needed. For us we shut off the entire lights in the household and just watched movies until 10:30. How about you how did you do it?

The earth’s future and the future of the next genearation is in your judgement. This year, Earth Global Election is on. It is an exciting undertaking on Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm so please mark your calendars. Urging all people who is not aware fo this action to participate in your own small way and let your voice be heard.

How can your voice be heard or your how can votes be recorded? There are many ways if you go to this link.

For bloggers you can write a live blog post during the event and tag it with “earthhour” or “voteearth”, and “your location”. In 2007, For the first time this global action was initiated in Sydney, Australia that sparked awareness to everyone especially to bloggers like us. Statistics show that 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour but it did not end there. The global awareness heated up even more when in 2008 this message spanned to all continents with a recorded 50 million people switching off their lights. This year, 2009, the Vote Earth is expected to target 1 Billion Votes and together we can make it happen if we participate.

Have your votes counted and in the end we can say to the world leaders who will be convening in the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009 that we want change. This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol.

The world is united and over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009. We are talking about this planet future and not just some country’s future.
